He signed a contract with WWE on August 15, 2019 after which he started reporting to the WWE Performance Center. He made his in-ring debut on the December 25 episode of NXT where he accepted open challenge against Roderick Strong but became failed to won the NXT North American Championship. He achieved his first victory on the January 8, 2020 episode of NXT by defeating Joaquin Wilde.

On the March 30 episode of Raw, he made his appearance as an associate of Zelina Vega where he teamed with Seth Rollins and Angel Garza. They lost to Raw Tag Team Champions The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins) and Kevin Owens. He teamed with Garza in a losing effort against The Street Profits at WrestleMania 36 for the Raw Tag Team Championship. They again lost to The Street Profits at following night on Raw.

He was attacked by Garza and Andrade on the May 18 episode of Raw after accidentally costing the, in their match against Kevin Owens and Apollo Crews. At NXT TakeOver: War Games, he revealed himself as the newest member of the Gargano family where he assisted Gargano win the NXT North American Championship. He revealed being part of the villainous faction called The Way on the December 9 episode with Indi Hartwell, Gargano and his wife Candice LeRae.
